@DanMorgan The American Sign Museum has what is believed to be the last authentic 'Great Sign' in existence. It's displayed at the entrance and, once you step inside, there's also a scale replica that was used for things like trade shows and also the original blueprints for its design.

Today I'm learning about opal (or milk) glass signs, and this short video is a neat explanation of how they were made, including the process of shaping the original letterforms in clay.

The technique was pioneered by what is now the Flexlume Sign Company, and there are a number of their original opal glass signs at the American Sign Museum.
