I would still tend to think its nowhere near as perfect as the original game. I'm less interested in the levels, and the regularly gotcha placement of the enemies gets old.

But ah, it's an xpac. For one of the GOAT. So let's not spoil our fun and enjoy this DLC for what it is.

So Amid Evil - The Black Labyrinth DLC. It's still good, but...

- It put my windows regional keyboard to English upon launch.

- I have been stuck on geometry several times.

- Some rare atrocious screeching sounds, clearly not intended.

Annoyances, but what would I be if not grumpy.

Other than that, I was really not feeling the first few levels, but it was a matter of getting back into the groove (or weak first levels ?).

I mean damn, just look at this

I'm not over how the level design strikes this delicate balance of being completely readable, stunningly beautiful, weird and otherworldly, and yet still manages to surprise you at every turn

You rarely if ever get lost, feel clever for picking up on the clues, and things loop back on themselves, which is a very Amid Evil thing, and good.

The whole thing is a treat, and a masterclass in Level Design, IMO
