Opossum skull, one of my personal faves from my collection. Obtained from roadkill.

Oh, fantastic! 🤦‍♂️ Just what the world was waiting for: a 13,000-piece collection of digitized animal bones. Because who wouldn't want to spend their weekend browsing virtual fossils instead of watching Netflix? 🦴📚

My shelf of fun little things.

Dark-brown, geometric wall shelf with decorative items, including small figurines, animal bones, a jar of cat whiskers, pocket knives, small pool balls, and a silver tea pot container.

Unboxing a tiny gift: a mouse's jaw bone nestled in black sand. A token regurgitated by the hooded crow (Corvus cornix) onto my windowsill. Carnivore: Part II

I have a friend doing work in Yelm, Washington (just south of Tacoma) on old logging land. Found these two bones. Any ideas of what they might belong to?

Just went with the flow of zooarchaeological work this evening/night. Nice to find both domestic and wild cats on this Irish Early Medieval Dublin hinterland site, AD 400-800 Wild cat kittens bones too 🥰🐱 May have been prized ‘pets’.

I shall be using CWs on all my archaeological animal bone photographs with ALT text included from now on. I'm getting to grips with this plaform and enjoying it.

I know photos of animal bones aren't for everyone and I want to not give people horrifying experiences.

A large pig canine or tusk from a Irish Medieval archaeological site in the hinterlands of Co. Dublin.

The gang gets dressed up for #Yule

Mom started decorating for Christmas today so I figured it’d be fun to get into the spirit of things
