This is a Yemeni Tribal necklace from anywhere between the late 1800s to the turn of the century. I'm currently digging into how to date this so that I can get a better idea of its age so that date range may change.
It's #silver and #coral . And oh my God heavy!!

This is an #antique Moroccan Berber gunpowder flask. The top is made of Camel #bone and the case is a mix of silver and tin.
That's all I know about this thing! It's really, really cool so I had to share it here .

As promised, heres the 1700s Scold. This is a torture device used for people who gossiped, spread rumors, accused of blasphemy and a whole plethora of other slights society of that era deemed punishable. The offender was often made to stand in the streets with this on so everyone could see them.

That small circle was placed in the mouth and the rest was clamped over their head and locked into place.

Oddity (2024)

A woman is murdered in an old country house after opening the door to a stranger at night. A year later her twin sister moves in to investigate what happened.

This is a (very) spooky story with some great nightmarish visuals and a creepy adult size wooden puppet. It uses our fear of the dark very efficiently.

It’a unsettling and dreadful, just how I like it.
