Prediction: England will be 2 down by midnight.

“The pitch for the fourth Ashes Test in Melbourne has ‘done too much’ and has resulted in an ‘unfair’ contest between bat and ball, says former England captain Michael Vaughan.”
Did Australia and England bat on different pitches? Or is he complaining that the Australia bowlers are better? What is he even talking about, the wittering fool?
“England were pushed towards the precipice of the fastest Ashes series defeat in more than 100 years”
[insert the “we’re all trying to find who did this” meme here]
“Third test in balance after day one”
Yeah, I’ll believe that if England a) bat on day two and b) survive day two.
Interesting decision to pick Will Jacks.
Not convinced it's right, but neither do I think it's absurd; just glad they didn't go for Bethell or Bashir.
My instinct was that Josh Tongue would have been the best option with the pink ball. Article states he boosts the batting lineup. I think the batting lineup is (mostly) ok, but that the mentality needs some more sobriety.

Well, that was awful. Not just because of the result, but because that was one of the worst test matches I’ve ever seen. Over in two days, four 20-20 type innings and just a dreadful advert for the game. If this is the future of how test cricket is to be played then it simply won’t survive.
Bazball won’t be remembered for the innovative attacking entertainment they think it is, but as the destroyer of the purest form of the game.
Winton's book contains some of those clippings so popular in Australian English: bronzies, deckie, Landy, oldies, vollies, wetty, and others.
Without context it's hard to guess them unless you know AusEng. I've updated my post on the phenomenon:
