Pretty cool to me as a fan of the band, I found out yesterday that Zia McCabe of the Dandy Warhols is Autistic. She was only diagnosed fairly recently, but has been embracing it so far.

Without fail, their shows always get me feeling All The Feels, not least of which is validation.
I find myself relating to Hannah's stories about the way they react to situations and events, even when the circumstances are so very different to my own life.

Is many thing me like in story. Is found family, MAKE family even if society be mean. Is friend/family be different, different part of society, different part of world (mountain, fisher village, city), different age, different thing can do and not do, have disability, have trauma, have grief – but be kind and be friend and family and be get better together. Grandparent fight oppression, too! Is be poor people not have established family, is city families be mean, be exploit - is grandparent say NO we not be exploit, we do thing about!
