A pair of yellow-tailed black cockatoos playing over the Blackall Range escarpment at Bald Knob. Both birds are on a downbeat, both climbing, one above the other, flying left to right. In the lower corners of the picture the canopies of two trees can be seen slightly below them, and in the background the plains stretching out far below to the sea. This pair performed aerobatics for a couple of minutes. Judging by beak and eye colour, the male is underneath here.

A welcome swallow in flight. The bird is approximately 15cm long, and is banked 180 degrees, belly towards the photographer, and wings and tail completely spread. The chestnut colour on its neck is visible, but none of its blue-back shiny wings or back.

A Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo executing a banking turn, high over the plains below the Blackall Range escarpment. The bird's wings are partly cocked, and its tail is spread wide and tilted, showing the trademark light yellow feathers. Its seen from an almost equal height, although its flying near some visible tree-tops, and behind it the plains are a long way down, stretching off to the coast and hazy sea.
