Learning new words all the time here on M. " Bechdel" and "test" . Together.
Now finding out how that works out in my own life. Grown up with 3 sisters, plus one bro. Having Lucy Maud Montgomery and Jane Austen as Favorite Writers and #Kdrama as my safe-spot here.
Our volunteer-museum team has 60% females. Conversation-starter pur sang !

And, keeping within the theme of traveling back in time to the world of Tumblr fandoms and Gamergate, it’s time we switched gears to the once growing “trans exclusionary radical feminist” movement, and the spectrum of hate and transphobia that came with it. Today, we’re talking about a book that was published in 2014, called Adam.
I'm a minute or two behind the general feed, having switched streams, but these two ladies chatting over scotch seem to have passed the #Bechdel test.
Well, the ending was a little less abrupt than we typically get on a #monsterdon feature!
The #Bechdel test was toast though, right from the start.
I think we have another #Bechdel test fail as well.

Out of nowhere my 8 yr old son suddenly started talking about the #Bechdel Test this morning…he was questioning whether one of his favourite Disney classics Snow White would pass. His conclusion - probably not, because despite having two lead female characters (Snow White and the evil step mum) they don’t really talk to one another and Snow White mostly talks about the dwarves’s housework and meeting a prince.
What they teach in Yr 4…not bad!

Sería algo así: dos PNJ femeninos con ficha completa que tenga una aventura donde son figuras importantes y la trama no tenga que ver con un hombre.
También podría ser que tuvieran un pasado común que no incluya a un hombre como elemento fundamental.
Todo esto ha venido a qué me vi de The Marvels, muy disfrutona por cierto, y salió este tema.

Look I'm really just looking for an excuse for #HelenHunt and #LauraDern to be in another movie together.
We could even call it The #Bechdel Test and it could be a not-very subtle allegory on how #women run *everything* better. Lets see, have #Lizzo, #SandraOh, #DollyParton, #ShohrehAghdashloo, and they're all top scientists and legislators and they get to work solving the world's problems and all the d00dz are either doddering insane comedic relief or eye candy like that Tatum feller.
