A high schooler somewhere on the other side of the world (~ 20 hours ahead of me, all they said) went out of their way to join my #Borderlands3 session just to drop a bunch of highly sought after gear and then left. I love this community.
(There are various gear dupe tricks so they didn't actually give this stuff up. But it's still awesome they spent the time to give me these things that are so difficult to obtain)
Does anyone know if there is something like a #Kickstarter but for crowdfunding a class-action lawsuit against the team that works on RNG for a game?

The DLC for #Borderlands3 are just fantastic.
Yeah the base game has some writing problems but they aren't as bad as everyone says and the game overall is really, really good.
Then the DLC? Chef's kiss. You really should play this.

So I'm doing a side mission in this #Borderlands3 DLC (Love, Guns, and Tentacles) where two NPCs decide to get married. Except the planet and town they chose for the ceremony is under a curse from a cosmic horror god, and everyone there is spooky and haunted and evil.
Like this DJ who tells me to go rescue an imprisoned banshee up in the mountains, then record her screaming because the DJ wants to make the darkest most evil dance mix anyone's ever heard.
I bring her the recording, and the first pic she says "A warning: This may drive you mad, if you're not mad already. I can only wonder what evil this sinister song may call to our presence."
Dance music starts playing and a vocal track goes "Your life is a mess and it's all your fault!"
I love these games so much.

I have to wonder if most people thought that the Calypso twins were bad Bad Guys in #Borderlands3 simply because they had to follow Handsome Jack. They are annoying as hell, and hatable as all fuck, but so was Jack and that was the point. They’re cartoonishly hatable and the whole franchise is a caricature of how people will abuse the power given to them in pursuit of riches. I don’t see feel the hate personally

#Borderlands3 runs like hot butter on the #SteamDeck, as does #TinyTinasWonderlands and those games aren’t even that old. #Borderlands4’s visuals are barely better than the previous 2 so the fact that the suits upstairs at #Gearbox thought the failed optimization wasn’t a problem is just so sad, but that’s #AAAAGaming nowadays ain’t it #DLSS #Borderlands

I love these games.
I'm replaying #Borderlands3 for various reasons. It's still a good game, despite some flaws. Dunno if that's a #HotTake. Yes, I recommend playing it.
There is some great mission design and it has my favorite environment design and variety of the series. Between the semi-cyberpunk of Promethea, the swamp of Eden-6, the otherworldly space of Nekrotafeyo, and others, each planet has a striking, unique identity.
I've missed Barista Bot, lol.

“Is #Borderlands3 as bad as you remember?”
No.
Like any game, BL3 has problems. But it is overall fun, did great stuff with the formula, and had a really strong helping of DLC and post-launch content, including a 4th skill tree for each hunter.
If BL3 is anywhere in your backlog, I recommend it. For those who could use a refresher, this was a handy video (careful, it has spoilers).
Uninstalled Borderlands 3 after I got the Jakobs Vault Key Fragment.
I just DON'T want to do the same story twice in a story game.

Hot #Borderlands take? When it comes to unique environment design and vibes, #Borderlands3 is by far my favorite.
Some examples: The Wild West of Pandora, of course, but then the neon semi-cyberpunk vibe of Promethea, then the swamp of Eden-6, then the otherworldly space of Necrodefayo (sp?). Then the DLCs brought even deeper variety like that spooky cosmic horror one, then Bounty of Blood, then the casino heist one.

ES WIRD ZU VIEL GELABERT. Viele Audioclips unterbrechen sich sogar gegenseitig. Manches ist witzig, aber das liegt daran, dass man ohne Unterlass mit Jokes zugeballert wird und irgendwas davon muss ja mal landen. Viele mittelmäßige Nebenmissionen. Spielprinzip gut, aber die Serie hat sich auch seit Borderlands 2 nicht mehr weiterentwickelt. Spaßige Waffen, aber das ständige Vergleichen und Ersetzen nervt. Wäre nett, wenn man Lieblingswaffen upgraden könnte. #gaming
