Moin,
mein alter Drucker, ein Brother MFC-J4420DW, wurde vom Hersteller leider gezwungen, nicht mehr zu funktionieren.
Das Tintenauffangschwämmchen oder -behälter ist voll, man kann nicht mehr drucken. Das ist natürlich nur geplante Obsoleszenz. Bei YouTube gibt es ein Video, das einem zeigt, wie man über ein Service-Menü den Zähler ein klein wenig zurücksetzen kann. Danach kann man ein paar Seiten drucken, dann beginnt das Spiel von vorne.
Abzugeben daher als defekt und an Bastler, ein paar Patronen sind noch übrig. Wenn der Drucker mal ein paar Seiten druckt, funktioniert er super, das angeblich volle Schwämmchen kann man mit Küchenpapier trocken tupfen.
Brother sollte sich gewaltig schämen! Geldgier produziert unnötigen Elektroschrott!
Falls jemand Bock hat sich dem Problem zu widmen: geschenkt! Ich wäre nur dankbar über eine Info, ob das Problem dauerhaft gelöst werden konnte.

Bref, pas moyen de savoir si la durabilité #Pfaff compense le manque de fonctionnalités sur les Smarter ou si une #Brother électronique (dont les boutonnières me conviennent mieux et bien moins chère) peut faire l'affaire sans tomber en panne dans 5 ans. Ni même le positionnement de #Singer, #HeavyDuty ou non.

Yesterday I learned that my #Brother printer, which I adore, has a special setting for type of paper.
I also learned (the hard way) that if I don’t select Heavyweight Paper from the pop-up menu when printing on card stock, the toner doesn’t stick very well.
And finally, I learned that I can force toner that isn’t sticking very well to stick to the damn card stock by ironing it with a very hot iron, placing a sheet of plain paper between the card stock and the hot iron. #tips #hacks #printing
