In none of their documentation is the operating system platform mentioned. The commands used could be done in powershell. Unlikely that they are running only Windows in #cerner.
The hospitals would be suffering from maintaining TCO. Cerner has no cause to fret. They abstract every external connection to their databases. Strictly https access it would seem.
