@mildpeach As others have noted in reply, slow charging is not a universal shortcoming of all #EV implementations. The #ChevyBolt is a slow charging vehicle, and you don't provide charging station capabilities, which also affect charge speed.
Fast chargers vary in capability and choosing charging stops will necessarily involve some sophistication on the driver's part -- go to a charge point with lots of free spots, but with slower charge rates, or one with a short wait, but with a fast charge?
I drove my #ChevyBolt EV up to San Juan Capistrano last night to see The Sweet—2.5 hrs each way, thru mountains & everything—on only one charge.
I seriously love not having to buy gas. I love not supporting #BigOil even more!
I finally received my NACS adapter from GM! Now Susan and I can use Tesla superchargers for charging our Chevy Bolt EVs when we're on road trips.

What a deal. There may be a few of them left for sale. I. bought a month ago and had to travel about 400 miles to get the one I wanted. I rented a uHaul trailer and hauled it home with the little truck for a few hundred dollars.

I'm unsure about how one would set my #Chevy #Bolt to start doing battery conditioning when approaching a L3/DC fast charger. Does anyone happen to have any knowledge about this, I looked in the manual and didn't see much about it but I might be blind. I use Google maps for navigation if that influences things at all.

This is funny. I couldn’t get rid of the EV itch so I bought a used 2021 Chevy Bolt. Almost the polar opposite from the Model Y, but honestly I think this is the perfect car for me (right now) between the size, price, and features.
Coming from an old Corolla so this Bolt is practically like driving a spaceship. I love it.

Calling the Bolt an SUV is generous. I'm guessing it's just easier to market a "crossover SUV" than a hatchback.
That said, it's also my favorite of the 3 rental cars I used while mine was in the shop recently: it handles well, has good range, and my main problem with it is that it was just really small - there's room for 1 suitcase, maybe, and you probably shouldn't go grocery shopping with too many members of your household.
And as with most modern cars, I was never sure it was actually off when I'd turned it off.
If you value your #privacy - or just don't want your #car telling your #insurance company how you drive - don't buy a new #Honda (or a #Chevy, and I'd ask around before buying any other brand of new car).

(Side note: While a used car may seem like a better idea, beware of buying an older Honda [particularly a Honda Civic] made prior to 2010. Many in those pre-2010 model years had bad engines that as the car gets older develop unfixable cracks in the engine block, and if the owner drives the car without realizing it's overheating because it is low on coolant that has leaked through the crack, that can warp the head and blow the head gasket, and pretty much all you can do is replace the engine with one made in 2010 or later, and that costs more than the car is worth unless you have a mechanic in the family that will do the labor for free! And most people who buy one used will never be able to tell that the car has this problem until after they have driven it for several miles. Getting a Carfax MIGHT reveal the issue if you see the car has been resold a bunch of times for no apparent reason, but if you're the first sucker even that won't warn you of the problem).

Nine months in to Chevy Bolt EUV ownership and I’ve never had a need for a Tesla charger, but if I travel more broadly it might come in handy.
Lot of Electrify America fast chargers are coming online though…
The short-wheelbase #ChevyBolt is twitchy / dynamically unstable, thus *feels* faster and more agile than the RWD Model 3. It’s shorter in length, with tall seating and great visibility, so you can dart around fearlessly in the city.
Whereas the heavier M3 is more stable in winds and on freeways.
Surprisingly, the new #Tesla #Model3 Highland isn’t as fun to drive as the #ChevyBolt. It’s quiet and cushy, corners much better than Bolt on stock tires, deep bucket seats, swaddled, limited visibility. Feels like a Honda. #EV
The last car I bought was an almost-new 2009 Scion xB, which I adore and is TARDIS-like in its ability to be bigger on the inside. At the time, it was really tricked out, too.
Going from the Scion to the #chevybolt was like upgrading from a tricycle to a spaceship.
This car is a *nanny.* It tells you when there’s a car in your blind spot, or if someone is driving behind you while you’re trying to back out. It nudges you back into the lane when you stray.
I love it.
