Found the spot for good coffee in Nakatsugawa. Delicious. Even if they did think I was philistine for having a bean like that in a milk drink. #coffeenerds

Hey coffee people! Is it feasible to use a moka pot on an electric stove? (Not induction, just a regular electric burner) Anyone have experience with that?

I know it’s only Starbucks, but the Elphaba’s Cold brew is pretty cool.

Second try today with my #bialetti #mokapot
Same dose as yesterday.
Same in as yesterday.
Same coffee ("Dreispitz" by "Die Kaffeemacher:innen", same grinding size.

Started with hot water at ~90°C in the base.
Took the brewing a bit further and got 105g out.

Boy, that stuff is strong.
But very full bodied, very low acidity.
Maybe a little bitter and I should have pulled it off a few seconds earlier.
But It's actually very pleasant to drink.
It might benefit from maybe half a tsp of sugar to accentuate the flavor, but it's very nice black as it is.
So yeah, I like what an old, classic brewing system can do.

Looking forward to exploring with different coffees.
Especially looking forward on trying out the "Henrique" from "Die Kaffeemacher:innen".
It's a slightly darker roast, very thick and viscous if prepared with a portafilter... so it might work very well in the moka pot.

But.. I am also looking forward of trying it with the other coffees that I bought.
One named "Augustus" being a bit more experimental, with an accelerated ferment of the whole coffee cherry under a tarp and then process as a natural, and not as a washed coffee.
They say it got amaretto-like, sour-cherry notes and I am very interested to see if that works in the moka pot.
And the portafilter.

Yeah, I'll shut up now, guess I have already nerded enough ^.^'
