In a series of panels, Kilowog, in civilian clothing, narrates the history of the Guardians in Green Lantern Vol. 3 #35. Due to Krona's experiments, energy had been leeched from the universe. The Guardians sought to impose order so that energy would be saved. Kilowog points out that, despite rumors to the contrary, fascist regimes were not actually more efficient, and fascism breeds chaos and conflict. He finishes by saying, "They're all gone now, but y'know comics. DC, please keep 'em gone. Hal's problematic enough without fascist overlords." A caption reads "A Kilowog-core Edit".
