#ComputerNames #JustWondering

Just wondering, what did you name your computers? And is there a theme in your naming scheme?

I mean... The thing that pops up when your computer connects to a network, or when you go into your terminal.

I decided to go with philosophers myself.

My main desktop is named Kant.
My new main laptop is Seneca.
My old laptop, used in the kitchen, is named, Plato.
My server is named Socrates. (Partially because I have no idea what it's on about half the time)
And my backup NAS is named Diogenes. (Cause would be better off in a bin if I didn't need it)

A #script for when you want your #macOS #HostNames and #LocalHostNames to (minus special characters) match their #ComputerNames.

scutil --set LocalHostName ${COMPUTERNAME//[$' \'\t\r\n']}
```

Add special characters to be removed as needed.
