Last night, right as I was about to shutdown, my desktop computer just suddenly powered off. I tried to power it back on, and got nothing. Then I noticed a lovely burning smell. My guess is the power supply, but we'll see this weekend when I get a chance to open it up and do surgery.

#gps #ComputerSaysNo I've noticed budget GPS trackers making big blunders recently.

Like a bus I was sat on (in Ambleside, England) showing up in Scotland, then travelling 100s of miles in seconds, to Ambleside.

Once a double-decker bus was clocked at ~500mph in the Irish sea, and another time a bus from Barrow-in-Furness was clocked at sea in the 'Bermuda triangle'.

GPS is a marvel, but please test software, and please treat computerised info with a pinch of common sense :-)

Does anyone have any ideas on how a #bank in Aotearoa New Zealand can enable my use of the #DebitCard they issued to me that doesn't require Mobile Phone use? Currently I can't even book #OnlineShopping service via a supermarket or donate to an online portal. 3DS2 may be great for securely restricting access to my money in a bank, but it's not great when I can't access it either!

Anyone know of a workaround? Bank and supermarket blame each other, shrug and say

Mit genau dieser Frage habe ich mich - und zahlreichen Forschende -bereits beschäftigt. Auch wenn am Ende der Mensch das Häkchen setzen wird, nehmen diese den Computer als "neutral-objektiv" wahr und glauben ihm.
