The Page You Are Looking For Is Not Here #Caturday #CoopLife #Sunny #MeowMeow #OrangeCatEnergy #Chicago #HydePark
So far today I've had meetings which have spawned immediate other meetings, and a meeting in which we practiced for a later meeting #cooplife
September in review:
* VegFest took over my life.
* Lots and lots of meetings and extra GK workshops and intense #cooplife
* Alternating autumnal and summer weather, and baking to match, but clear skies.
* Walkies, Max and Lowenna time.
* Gardening and bottling.

Sometimes I can't tell if a meeting went well or if I'm just boundlessly optimistic. #cooplife https://rhiaro.co.uk/2024/03/sometimes-cant

My worker co-operative, Open Data Services Co-op, is hiring data analysts. In particular, we're looking for people to join our growing Support team for the International Aid Transparency Initiative data standard.
We use skills-based hiring (no CVs, just answer some practical questions) and would love applications from people who have taken non-traditional pathways into tech.
We are fully remote, have a flat organisational structure, flat pay, flexible working, and lots of benefits.
Ask me questions if you like!
(We can only accept applications from people who have the right to work in the UK, and are resident in the UK for tax purposes).

okay i know we were all joking around the other week about the patron saint against fear of insects but i absolutely MUST do laundry in the increasingly cockroach-ridden basement, please pray for me
My open data worker co-operative is hiring yet more python developers!
Flexible working, good benefits, flat hierarchy, thoughtful colleagues. Remote, but UK-based for tax purposes.
We do cv-less, anonymous, skills-based hiring, and would love to add to our team of people who have come to tech along non-traditional paths.
Please share with anyone you think might be interested: https://app.beapplied.com/apply/lpngfv2gag?utm_source=mastodon
And I'm happy to answer questions here, or by email to jobs@opendataservices.coop
Posted 34 photos: Three days of intense Co-op work at Wortley Hall, punctuated by nice walkies around the fields with the Wortley Wanderers, and lots of carbs (though the food gets better every year). #cooplife https://rhiaro.co.uk/2023/04/photos-wortley
A three-day, quite intense and tiring but overwhelmingly positive Open Data Services whole-co-op meeting this week. We're in a state of flux at the moment as several complex and interdependent internal moving parts come together in support of the co-operative future we want, and that can often lead to frustration and stress. We had a lot of alignment this week, collectively, but (and) there also remains a lot of work still to do.
I was taking today off to rest, but accidentally drafted a Remuneration Strategy based on thoughts percolating in my subconscious from the past few days instead.
(I continue to surprise myself when I reflect on what my job seems to entail these days.)
So the city co-op federation has an award for if your age + the amount of time you've lived in co-op housing >= 100.
I don't even add up to 50, but I feel all the board meetings I've sat in have added on a solid 50 years. I should apply
My work days are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. At the moment, Tuesday begins around 3pm on Monday and ends around 11am on Wednesday. #cooplife https://rhiaro.co.uk/2022/12/work-days-tuesday
I have three broody hens that I call The Sister Wives, because all three sat on eggs together and hatched five chicks. Tonight I noticed the most motherly of them was sitting on not only the five chicks, but the other two sisters, as well. 😆🥰

Week in review: 9th - 15th May. #cooplife first Everyone meeting since the beforetimes. #Gardening, #foraging. https://rhiaro.co.uk/2022/05/week-review-9th--
Posted 45 photos: A sunset walk in the hills around Wortley. Definitely no getting lost, confrontations with cows, or strange men burning logs. Found an inkycap, and left it to go splat to make some mushroom art, before redistributing it in the Wortley Hall grounds.
The next day, clear skies for sunrise, and I had front row seats. Into Sheffield for a fantastic brunch at South Street Kitchen. And then the train ride home. #cooplife https://rhiaro.co.uk/2022/05/photos-wortley-2
Posted 28 photos: Last week's Co-op meeting at Wortley Hall: Checked into a room bigger than my flat, including a bathroom with ceiling arches, and a view over Wortley Hall's fantastic grounds. Day one of the CoGM, with some team building and strategic thinking, lunch with aggressive ducks, plus a long walk through the fields in the afternoon. #cooplife https://rhiaro.co.uk/2022/05/photos-wortley
Once again my #coop is hiring: https://app.beapplied.com/apply/bx6k4sjaxe
We do open data stuff for public good. This role in particular is focussed on beneficial ownership data analysis and standards development, but internally there's a lot of flexibility about what you work on and we have a variety of ongoing projects. It's particularly fun to do transparency and anti-corruption stuff though.
We have flat pay, are all remote, mostly UK-based, mostly part time, extremely flexi, and always looking for new ways to improve our wellbeing.
There's a birdsite thread with more info here: https://twitter.com/opendatacoop/status/1450787984706506755 (which I might recreate on here later).
Colleagues who offer to hold a meeting for you so you can get on with other stuff instead are precious indeed. <3 #cooplife https://rhiaro.co.uk/2021/09/colleagues-who
