Not sure what I enjoyed the most this morning: a) planting the garlics; b) harvesting a small amount of lettuces, arugulas, brussels sprouts, kale; or c) cycling to/from the garden. #gardening #gyo #GrowFoodFromSeed #garlic #cycling #CycleEverwhere #CycleForErrands

A row of garlic bulbs laying on top of the dirt ready for planting. There is a kneeling pad on the side of the row, and a small plot of arugula at the end of the row.A small harvest of lettuces, arugulas, brussels sprouts, kale on red checked cloths.

Bike 20. Stop at library to drop off a book, then decide must at least check the Staff Recommends section, so check out new book and it came with nice bookmark. #cycling #CycleForErrands #library #PublicLibrary #books #BookMark

A Staff Recommends bookmark with an Albert Einstein quote: "The only thing that you absolutely need to know is the location of the library."

I don't know which I enjoyed more - cycling to/from the crops garden or harvesting.

Rode to get haircut (why do I keep getting haircuts, something I've never liked), and had a good kind of problem: all bike racks along the street were taken, and most by 2 bikes. Wow, so great to see this level of #cycling. #CycleForErrands #CycleForFun #CycleFromHome #BikeParking #NewtonMA

Today's #gardening report: prep'd a bed for spinaches, another for arugulas. Started pulling up tomato plants, found that a sunflower that was only 3 inch tall on Aug 2 is now blooming at 6.5 feet tall. Brought home 11 lbs of leeks, jalapeΓ±os, carmens, cayenne peppers, and tomatoes - that's one full bike saddlebag. #gyo #GrowFoodFromSeed #CycleForFun #CycleForErrands

A tall sunflower bloom against a partially blue sky. Bees are busy working on the flower.Vegetables laid out to dry on towels: leeks, red peppers, two types of green peppers, and, or course, tomatoes.
