Finally watching #DialOfDestiny and am pleasantly surprised. #PhoebeWallerBridge is delightful, and her charisma easily makes the jump to the big screen. The GCI for the young version of #HarrisonFord is surprisingly flawless.
I wish this were the first legacy sequel produced, since there is only so many times you can go back to the exact same premise of "good ol' #IndianaJones, but he is getting old and has become a fish out of water in a changing world."
And when I got to the credits ... OMG! They got Anthony Ingruber?!? Yesss!! 😀 👏 (Remember him?? 😁)
Here, he was one of two doubles for de-aged Indy! But he also got to show his face, as one of the bidders at the auction! I immediately went back to the scene and found him! 😊

Sure, it was a bit long, but it was consistently fun the whole time! 😁

It’s not awful but it’s also really not good.
Someone was v lazy and just put all the highlights from the previous films and condensed them into one.
The young Harrison Ford CGI was weird. The plot unoriginal. Dialogue was boring. Lots of casual racism. The only saving grace was Phoebe Waller-Bridge who I always find enjoyable to watch.
The ending was just ridiculous and there’s a HUGE hole in the plot.

I don't understand the malcontent with #DialOfDestiny. Seemed fine to me. No #NukingTheFridge or vine swinging monkey chases.
The background Germans in #DialOfDestiny are actually speaking correct, accent-free German.

The new Indiana Jones, the Dial of Destiny, is good. Surprisingly good. I went in with low expectations, but after first viewing I rank it as one of the top 3 Indiana Jones movies. At least.
It's got a wonderfully convoluted plot that never stops making sense, and still ends up where it intended to. Well, maybe not quite, but the way it doesn't makes it the most epic one. After that the end is a bit anticlimactic, but good. I think they made the right call.
My only issue with it is that the backgrounds often felt fake. The lighting was a bit off. Did they get it all out of the computer? They probably did. But the story makes up for it.

So I’m watching the new Indiana Jones film, Dial of Destiny, and there’s so much CGI what with the de-aging and whatnot that it looks more like Polar Express than a film film.
this CGI version of Indiana Jones running on top of a train from Dial of Destiny does not look human. The running motion is just off enough to make me think it's aliens.
Re-watching #IndianaJones and the #DialOfDestiny. Damn, if this isn’t a helluva lotta fun. Too bad the nostalgia bug didn’t hit right this summer.
