Despite declining to lodge an official complaint, here I am, seven years later, still being ghosted (and gaslighted).

Day 11 #ArtAdventCalendar: Happy birthday to trailblazing US #astronomer Annie Jump Cannon (1863 – 1941), here with her stellar classification system which sorted stars based on spectral types, revealing their temperature from hot blue to cool red stars: O,B,A, F, G, K & M. Named the Harvard Classification after the university, her tremendous contribution was less visible.

My linocut of Annie Jump Cannon shows her in a 3/4 profile view wearing a shirt with a lace collar and her hair up. She is printed in a gradient of violet at the bottom to green at the top, printed on white 11” x 14” paper. The background is printed in a gradient (left to right) of dark blue, light blue, yellow, pale yellow, pale orange, orange and red. The background block excludes her silhouette of shoulder and head with the exception of a smattering of small dots in a swath from upper left to lower right (which extends to white spots on the coloured background). Also along the bottom are a series of circles of decreasing size (left to right, blue through red) labelled O, B, A, F, G, K, M. There’s a axis line along the bottom with 6 tick marks. Vertically from top to bottom along the left side are 15-, 10-, 5-, 0, 5, 20, 15.

Moneybags Elsevier has offered me a gift card to do accessibility testing -- not cash that I could use for practical things or a professional hourly rate, but a lousy gift card. My expertise is worth more and I hope other #DisabledInSTEM folks will consider not accepting this disrespectful offer.

Hi friends! I haven’t had many
#DisabledInSTEM
merch sales this whole year and would appreciate any support!

I have A LOT of medical bills coming up. Your support helps me to pay my bills and focus on my advocacy, such as running the Mentorship Program!

Join this year's #DisabledInSTEM #SecretSanta!

With everything happening in the world, it's a great to connect the community and make the Holiday Season a bit brighter for everyone!

Previously, I've run a #SecretSanta Exchange for the #DisabledInSTEM and #Disability communities. With everything going on this year, is this something people would be interested in still?

I match individuals to send a gift via Amazon wishlist (so no addresses are given out) and it's usually around $20. This helps for people who are alone during the Holiday Season!

It’s more important than ever to support each other and build community.

Able-bodied mentors are invited to join and help support disabled mentees during these trying times ahead #DisabledInSTEM

A graphic made on Canva stating that the DisabledInSTEM 2025 Mentorship Program is now open and that applications are due December 7th. It also states this is going to be the fifth year of the program. On the pink ombre background, there are colored test tubes and glasses in the corners.

I was interviewed by "STEM with Disabilities" about my invisible disability #epilepsy for a profile here: stemwithdisabilities.com/stori #AcademicChatter #DisabledInSTEM It means a lot to me to be able to share some thoughts and experiences.

I brought a couple of complaints to my HR recently & damn, I'm happy. They confirmed what I thought (yes, this looks an awful lot like disability discrimination) & are investigating. Fingers crossed folks. HR is not always the friend of disabled folks in #HigherEd so I had to share the news.

Also, to all of my disabled friends in academia, document the heck out of everything.
