EveryDay 400: Expanded the portable #algoriddim #djay rig with an #abletonmove. Lot less fiddly to get the Move synced with #djaypro as it supports #AbletonLink over wifi, whereas had to mess with audiobus routing to MIDI BPM to get the EP133 synced.

Experiment 383: Tempo sync path = #EP133 MIDI clock out - USB-C hub - iPhone - #Audiobus 3 sync in - Ableton Link - #Algorridim #Djay, so track in Djay is tempo-locked to sampler bpm (and the lame beat I put together).
Using line out from #DJ2GO on same hub to input on EP133 so ended up with noise - sorted by a cheap in-line ground loop noise isolator.

Experiment 382: Mucking about with #Algorridim #Djay on iPhone and I love the neural mix/stems - isolating drums/bass/melodic/vocals on the fly for acapellas/instrumentals from any track is fantastic tech that "just works".
Mapped stem mute/solo to the Launchpad, along with beat jump and other stuff.

Just got a Vision Pro today and was playing with #Djay by Algoriddim. OMG the combination is so much fun … such a good implementation especially in Room mode.

Considering a new career as a virtual DJ 😛

I've been an happy #Tidal user until.. now.

I was using an integration with #DJay app to play a track, change key, play it slower/faster etc... to play along with my bass guitar.

Guess what? They just put it behind an additional +9€/month if I want to keep using this integration.

I guess I will have to move back to #AppleMusic 🤷🏻‍♂️ (which is also supported by #DJay as #streaming service).

And I will also save ~20€/year with the annual (not available with Tidal)

So, I switched from Tidal to Apple Music. Lost ~350 songs from my main #funk playlist (slightly less than 10%).

It wasn't such a long time ago that I had to make a similar move from #Spotify to Tidal, when Spotify dropped support for all dj software altogether. We surely are the serfs in neofeodalist entertainment economy…

... but to not complain all the time, #ux with #AppleMusic is _way_ better than it was with #Tidal.

Also, suddenly I'm back where it all began – with #Djay & #iTunes...

Pretty damn good! Found EQs to be a bit harsh, but some tinkering in the background may fix this. I’ll do some more investigating with the midi capabilities too. But so far, I like it!
