#BIOS menu on #EliteBook640G11 is accessed via
[Esc], x2 for a good measure -- various options
[F10] -- The Menu

Default time to bring up BIOS menu is damn too short when trying to get in. Changed to 5 s:

BIOS menu: <where?>

Touchpad does not move the mouse pointer; can move the scrollbar.

- [Home] key is shared with [F12]☹️ In BIOS have set to make F-keys to be the primary instead of "media" keys, which works out similar to #ThinkPadX260 which has [Home] as freaking SEPARATE Key. I use [Home] enough, F-keys not often enough at least in Windows 11, that am thinking of undoing that BIOS option. Done.

BIOS Menu: Advanced: System Options: Launch Hotkeys without Fn [Enable]
-- "Auto" does not help.

?/- 2 Youtube videos -- youtube.com/watch?v=DKJciQaCbX & youtube.com/watch?v=oVjcPAdU02 -- had glitchy, green, large portion broken up in many small shapes in #Firefox (audio has not been affected). In the first case, other videos were not affected though. Different encodings?

Looks like need to test power & other knobs when playing video.

MS Edge is okay!

HP does mention "Hardware acceleration for CODEC H.265/HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) is disabled" hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-elite .

+ #GoodThing about HP #EliteBook640G11 is that I have swapped [Ctrl_L] key at the end with [Fn] key besides it via BIOS option

BIOS Menu: Advanced: System Options: Swap Fn and Ctrl keys;

- #BadThing is #Microsoft_corp [copilot] key remains useless, in #Windows11, for being unable to use as [Ctrl_R] key.

From recent commit in "comp/python":

> HP [#EliteBook640G11] laptop has the BIOS option to charge battery only to 80% in order to increase battery life. When enabled, MS Windows 11 shows battery charge relative to that 80%. So 100% value is actually 80%.

That was due to ...

[Middle Click] via 3-finger-tap is having me open inadvertently closed Firefox tab again when trying to PIN it via [Right Click] (for context menu (so much for context🙄)) via 2-finger-tap .

- Curses HP #EliteBook640G11 with only 2 mouse buttons! A external 3-button mouse would be an improvement this time.

On that note am still getting familiar with the keyboard layout with square & relatively taller (x-y plane) keys than on #LogitechK845 keyboard or on #ThinkPadX260.
