The last Thrush that I am certain of ID. This is a Gray-Cheeked Thrush, seen only during migration, and really very shy. This was a tough ID. They migrate from northwestern South America to northern Canada and Alaska, along with northeastern Siberia to nest. Their trilling call is helpful in ID. A real treat to see one. We do see Wood Thrushes in our area, and I have recordings, but cannot find a usable photo.

Struggling a bit to keep PMA while sorting through all the crap.

Continuing with Thrushes (Turdidae), one of the most common is the American Robin, quite different than the European Robin - a member of the Old World Flycatchers (Muscicapidae).

Robins will eat a range of foods, here eating Deciduous Holly (Possum Haw) berries. Birds will wait for a few freezes before they will eat these berries. Possum Haw is one of the natives we work very hard to preserve.

Dr. Richardson’s Letter this morning is a strong but emotionally difficult read. What struck me most is

“All it would take to end the murder of American citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dem[ocrat]s to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach and remove Trump—3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public and end all of this.””

A bird break to ease some stress. Eastern Bluebird bringing something (unknown) back to the nest to feed his mate while she sits on eggs.

The house is prepped, just need to do some final prep outside to make sure the birds can feed safely and stay out of the wind and snow if they choose.

Yeah, instead of getting confused and agitated over this, why not just ask "why is this BS being platformed? This is obviously just made to nazify the population over a nonexistent issue."

Cancel culture is accountability for one's actions/words/etc., and wokeness is basically "enlightened to injustice and bigotry".

The right is attempting to frame this as "immoral", while in reality the rightwing push to academic Nazification is a much, much more existent problem.
