my static has reorganized a little bit for the upcoming tier and I'll be moving from melee to phys-ranged.

so of course I had an excellent opportunity to check out of the brutal reality of *waves hands around* and spend an hour coming up with a good glam for Dancer.

I caved in and resubbed to #ffixv yesterday after a year or so of inactivity. The recent graphics upgrade made everything look smoother, so it looks just different enough to feel off compared to what my brain was used to. I guess it'll take a couple of days to get used to it.

The answer to this question turns out to be Red Mage, by a mile. As @stevestreza predicted, I started the day by flinging myself off a platform on the first boss in Puppet's Bunker, and spent the rest of the day eating mechanics because I was too busy watching my mana gauge.

I did pretty well with all of the others, definitely not playing optimally or anything but I did a nice job healing with Scholar even though I hadn't played it at all above level 80 (leveled Summoner instead), a decent job tanking with Paladin, and even a pretty darn good job with Bard despite the fact that I rarely play DPS.

This new routine is a bit weird but I was so spacey with the humidity and my pain levels this afternoon, I would have been less productive than tonight.

And I know, unless it's something urgent, I'm not going to be interrupted from 9pm-midnight.

But, in trying to rest in the afternoon instead of write blog stuff, I'm on socials less. And I don't just want to be an announcements stream, so before I get an hour or so own-time in #FFIXV - "hi" 👋

Tanked my first Endwalker dungeon today. Was not prepared, as I just hit commence on leveling. My heart was pounding, but managed to get through with no wipes. I think i can say im a half decent tank now lol
