I mean that in no way throwing shade at @pixelfed - Dan and the team are doing awesome things there.

Also, the one app that I think does this multi-media interoperability thing REALLY well in a groundbreaking way is @surf by the #Flipboard team. The design feels a bit weird at first but it's an expansive experience and I really enjoy using it.

The @cbcnews account is such a fantastic example of why #Flipboard integrating #activitypub into their product has made a HUGE impact on the #fedi.

Publishers don't have to even interact with Mastodon to make their content available for the world here.
