Wait, we could even build a web search engine based on Fedi, that would offer relevant results based on the number of likes the blogs received, without needing to spy on the users.
Your fedi instance could even host one of those, so the first results you get would based on the interests of your community.

Was thinking about how much I have to self-censor on Meta/FB and how corporate #SocialMedia is literally "the cop in your head", whereas on #Fedi its more like a steward at some hippy festival where most of the rules are obeyed by consensus, and the parking / site attendants are #furries who willingly volunteered for the job as they are genuinely interested in what sort of vehicles or other transport folk are arriving in π

By focusing on the stuffs YOU care about instead of what they care about, you just lose interest from ppl. They have stuff that works and you didn't rly give them reason to leave.
I mean, that's assuming ppl want them joining. #Fedi especially has a prob with gatekeeping and exclusion and kind of... ick at times. W/e ppl say, masto social IS the starting point for most new ppl, but instead oc welcoming them fedi is like "ew you suck get a diff instance" like that's just an easy ask. 2/
What's the best desktop app for multiple #fedi accounts? I've got this one and @Ursinewave and it'd be handy to see them both at the same time without having to fumble around on a phone.
