The best restaurants in the #FL Keys are not the ones visible from Overseas highway. Today’s dinner at The Buzzard’s Roost was great. They have a mean Hemingway and the coconut cake for dessert is highly recommended.

Slept well (as expected) in a boat that isn’t rocking and swinging on an anchor. Yippee!

#Today I’ll finish a blog post I started last night, top off the water tank, hose down the boat. Then I’ll head out, stopping for a pumpout and maybe some fuel before leaving the marina southwest bound.

Today’s destination is either Elliot or Adams Key. Weather should be excellent for #boating and I’m looking forward to another smooth day on the water. #FLKeys

Here’s today’s track. It was PERFECT weather for #boating. And after 7 straight days at anchorages, I’m at a marina where I can top off my water, fully charge my batteries, dump my trash, and take a long, hot shower. I even got the bike out for a ride in the park with my pups. #FLKeys #ICW #Miami #BiscayneBay

It’s been non-stop family reunions, every day since Friday. We just said good bye to our Christmas day gathering that we host. I can’t wait till tomorrow when we leave for the #FLkeys and isolate ourselves for some quiet time and alone time. #JoinIn

It’s fascinating how #sunsets slide south as we approach winter solstice in the northern hemisphere.
