Современный интернет мёртв уже лет пять точно, как минимум. Ровно с тех времён, когда 95% ресурсов стали хоститься у облачных провайдеров: #AWS, #GCP, #Azue & etc.. И конечно же использовать #Cloudflare не только CDN, но и ради сервисов балансировки L3-L7 трафика.
Всё, что якобы зашифровано TLS (SSL) на самом деле доступно и в открытом виде гуляет внутри сетей этих сервис-провайдеров.

AWS — Amazon Web Services
GCP — Google Cloud Platform
Azure — Microsoft

Вот просто разом, даже без вечной погони на server-less решениями или #FaaS, а просто на этапе #IaaS у тех кто хочет зарабатывать на своём ненаглядном #SaaS.
Кто может и хочет давить на таких как упомянутые игроки, тот контролирует интернеты. В плане доступности информационных ресурсов, подглядывания за пользователями таковых или подмены ресурсов на фейковые в целях оперативных действий (и планах по реализации таковых у полиции или службистов).

Минимум пять лет как нету уже того интернета, к уютному и тёплому-ламповому образу которого все привыкли. Он умер, и не стараниями правительств, не органами исполнительной власти с чиновниками. А сам по себе, под наплывом тех самых поколений разношёстных молодых людей, которые вдруг решили всё сжечь и уничтожить, но лишь бы получать прибыль в виртуальном мире сервисной экономики.
Происходи нечто схожее в реальном мире, то именовалось бы как банальное экологическое преступление по уничтожению всех маломальских стабильных биомов с экосистемами. Но этого не принято замечать, либо потому что об этом не принято говорить о таких неприятных вещах, либо из опасения что сочтут фанатиком упоротым идиотом-сектантом. Или потому, что элементарно не хватает подкованности и познаний в том, как всё на самом деле устроено и работает в сугубо техническом аспекте. Не модно и не круто нынче заглядывать «под капот» — очень много других вещей требующих внимания. И надо постоянно крутиться\вертеться\суетиться, лишь бы не продолбаться — не отстать от трендов, упорно выдаваемых за реальность и навязываемых «непропагандой», а «свободными» источниками публикаций.

Интернет накрылся медным тазом будучи смыт толпой людей стремящихся окунуться в «новую экономику». Сперва смыт, а потом и растоптан натурально лавиной хомячков, не желающих париться и думать, а стремящихся лишь успеть вскочить в якобы отходящий поезд, урвать хоть какой-то свой кусочек.
Так что, давно уже и в помине нет объекта гореваний, как такового — не только труп остыл, а уже истлеть успел и прах развеялся.
