In their Maps app, google renamed the Gulf of Mexico according to the whims of the US fascist government.

Now they've removed Women's History Month (and Black History Month and LGBT+ Pride Month) from their Calendar app, apparently per the whims of the US fascist government.

It's a screenshot of the Feedback I just gave google regarding their decision to remove Women's History Month from their Calendar app. In the Description box, I wrote:

"Women's History Month is missing.
"STOP BEING EVIL.
"STOP BEING ASSKISSERS TO NAZIES"

With my Feedback, i also attached a screenshot of my Calendar app, set to March 1, the start of Women's History Month, to show that the item is missing from that day's agenda.

Google says they've stopped adding "cultural observances" because “maintaining hundreds of moments manually and consistently globally wasn't scalable or sustainable" but I suspect the real reason is because they were tired of fielding complaints from racists, homophobes and misogynists who didn't like to be reminded of non-straight-white-male holidays.

Be real: google doesn't do anything "manually." That's just crazy talk in an attempt to deflect blame and attention for their decision to back the fascists.

Fuck Google.
