Just over a year ago, there was a story about a couple of people living in a tiny home in Queenstown's Fernhill. While one of them owned the adjacent section, their house was parked on a public footpath for two and a half years.
They didn't get on with their neighbours, which is never wise when your house is illegally parked. On a footpath.
Numerous attempts by the council to sort the situation were ignored. A court has just fined the (unnamed) man $42,655 which includes the council’s legal costs.
