I do #writing and #photography on #travel, #builtenvironment, global #workingclass #food, & #transportation. I #bike everywhere & have a strong interest in #urbanplanning. I'm from #NYC.

I'll travel for interesting eats & often smoke #BBQ. I play #guitar but less than I used to.

The life on #Mastodon started off a bit confusing for me, but I am slowly getting the hang of it. Please allow me to introduce myself. I teach #sociology at a small university in the CA Central Valley. I was a #nontraditional #FirstGenCollege student, so I stumbled around a lot, but found myself guided by a small number of caring #academics & got myself a #PhD. Now I am paying it forward by nurturing and supporting loads of students like me.
