Well, that was strangely disgusting. Opened a package of frozen #FishCakes, and one of the patties looked like it went through the machine twice. On top of the normal coating was a bunch of extra coating, not sticking to it, looking like fluffy sawdust. #food

The cakes also include diced red pepper, shallots, celery, carrots, plus macerated bread in fish stock, eggs, olive oil, turmeric, chili powder, garlic, salt, pepper. They’re coated with panko and baked on a sheet pan.

Fish cakes made with mackerel and vegetables set on a plate with a mixed green salad, homemade pickle chips, Kalamata olives, and Peppadew peppers.

Finely diced vegetables in the fish cake including shallots, red pepper, carrots, celery. They’re set in the bowl prior to mixing with other ingredients.

The mixture of fish and vegetables are thoroughly mixed together and then they’re formed into a patty using a disher device, such as for ice cream. They’re put on a high-temperature silicon mat, pressed down into a cake, and baked on a sheet pan.
