#FluffyPets

Slowly but surely, I’m starting to share a lot more about me and my life with you, my fellow bloggers and readers. This one did come without anybody asking for it, but hey – everybody loves cats, right? Especially fluffy trolls. If you do – I have a good one for ya!

Just so you know, there’s a lot of 💩 and 🚽 talk in this one. Do not read if you’re sensitive to reading or hearing about that!

Her name begins with an M.

She’s turning 5 later this year. From the start she’s been a mischievous troll, a pure terror but also loving as crazy. She’s a lazy cuddlebug. You can cuddle her for hours if you do it the right way. She loves to sleep next to me during the night, cuddling up and lay her head on my hands. Even though she plays a lot for a ragdoll, she can also sleep probably 20 hours per day.

This is how I imagine my cat when she starts planning her schemes to piss us off every other day or so 😂.

She differs a bit from general ragdolls due to that fact that she has to play so much. She’s so bored. I did the mistake of not buying two cats at once, but I could only afford one at the time. With what I know now – I’d probably save thousands of $$$ if I’d bought two instead of just one. So if you don’t have a cat already, get two! A ragdoll absolutely needs it!

Beware of the breeder you choose as well…

I’m not gonna go into the whole #adoptdontshop thingy, because I don’t want to start a war in the comment section. I believe in doing the best you can if you want a pet and I chose a good breeder who did a lot of tests before breeding, so the cats are healthy. She was not perfect, and I shall tell you why.

I have struggled a lot with this breeder. So much so that we actually broke our “friendship”. She’s a drama queen and I can’t stand people like that. I have enough drama as it is with my quirky fails in life. The breeder did well on health in general like I mentioned above, besides the stomachs.

She knowingly bred on cats with very sensitive stomachs. My cat is otherwise super-super-healthy! But oh, the poops and the butt-checking we constantly have to do… OMG! Having a cat who’s probably allergic to everything and can’t try new foods without shitting herself is no fun.

Feeding raw to a ragdoll cat might not be easy

I wish I could feed my ragdoll a raw food diet 100% of the time, but that seems impossible at the moment. As of now she only eats like a 4th of her food as raw meat. The rest is kibble. Hopefully her stomach will one day learn to eat only raw meat.

I did try and give her 100% raw food a few years ago and her stomach was fine then, but she threw up hair balls like 4 times per week. Now we know it was because of lack of brushing her, but even now when we (me and the roommate) try and give her more raw food, the poop struggles start all over again. I have no idea why it worked a few years ago and now it doesn’t. If you do – help me out in the comments, thanks! ❤️

Here in Sweden we’re lucky that we can buy premade raw food balls pretty cheaply. If I’d only buy her raw food, the complete food bill would be around $25 per month, probably a bit less than that.

All and all, having a ragdoll cat is great!

Lots of fluff and hair everywhere. Yes, you might even find hair in your butt crack 😂, but that’s how it is with these fluffy monsters. I swear that my glasses actually grow its own hair?! Not to mention poop stains on your sheets and hairballs in your food if you’re not careful.

I love her to death!

Do you have a ragdoll, or perhaps another fluffy/non fluffy pet? Let me know in the comments if you do – without a link, so it does not go into the spam folder. If you blog about your pets, let me know the name of the blog, because I’d like to read it.
