@hitext @erikspiekermann @nilshoerrmann A link to the Typostammtisch Berlin event website would be nice, no? Here you go!

Looking forward to the 111. Berliner Typostammtisch next Thursday, an evening filled with everything FontShop! Jürgen Siebert @hitext, Erik Spiekermann @erikspiekermann and Ivo Gabrowitsch will be on stage for a panel discussion. I'll leave my FontBook at home, but hope to unearth an ancient CD-ROM in time, plus a few paper goodies … and maybe your floppy disk, @nilshoerrmann? :D Fun. Who else is coming?
@FontsInUse just removed all the (now dead) FontShop links from our typeface pages. Suddenly, the shirt I happen to be wearing today takes on new meaning. :(
I'm sad to see a beautiful type website disappear tomorrow. Goodbye, FontShop.

RIP #FontShop 🪦 -- Na dann gute Nacht.
The Future of FontShop … is no future.
Narrow-format font catalogs. From condensed, to compressed, to ridiculous. 🤳@laureola

In 2007, Rob Meek came to us at FontShop with a wild idea: let people make fonts on the web using modular building blocks. Folks could quickly get into type design, while experiencing how difficult it is to master, thus gaining an appreciation for the craft. 15 years later, @fontstruct still has an active creator community! Some fonts made in the last 3 months:

Where can I find a list of #Foundries that no longer exist, such as #Linotype, #ITC, #Bitstream, #FontShop, #Berthold, URW, Elsner+Flake, Letraset, Typoart, Emigre, House Industries, Scangraphic, Fontspring, Fontdeck #typefoundry
Still unreasonably proud that I convinced our team at FontShop to add this sticker to every copy of FontBook (2006). https://www.flickr.com/photos/stewf/2213470074/in/album-72157603773488731/
