We will either have a referendum on the question "Do you agree that Alberta should remain Canada?" or a vote in the Legislature (if the UCP has the guts, which I doubt very much). Privileged to sign along side my wife today.
As we were finishing up a couple of ladies arrived at the table. One proudly declared she had signed the "Leave Canada Petition" and began spouting about "boots on our neck" and a seemingly outlandish number for "taxes stolen".
The other lady, her friend I believe, was very happy to sign the Remain in Canada Petition.
Now, I'm not always 100% up on the latest news, but I'm not aware of any approved petition that asks for Alberta to leave Canada. My meager search skills also produced nothing. This leaves me wondering...
What did "Ms. Leaver" sign and who was presenting it as a leave petition?
