#FreeCAD meshing options, my favorite is the simple one that I use with #Blender, others types are maybe better for #FEM or somethings else. Standard mode is perfect also for #3D #printing, #Gmsh doesn't works with Quasi-Structured Quad #b3d #CAD #Blender3d #opensource

Playing with #CFD and #DEM is fun as long as one does not have to mesh a cfd geometry. SO todays agenda: Build a geometry with @FreeCAD and mesh it for #avlfire with #gmsh.

Both freecad and gmsh are really instructive, but I foresee great pain getting the mesh into fire 🔥 .

@slyka I can't use FEM right now as the dev version of #FreeCAD depends upon #OCCT 7.6 and the #gmsh packages in Ubuntu 22.04 depend upon OCCT 7.5.
I can't even compile gmsh locally.
