I was an avid, if finicky #comic book consumer for years, but have largely ignored the idiom for the last 2 decades. That said, there are still a small handful of creators I find fascinating (#artists more than writers) including the extremely absurd, violent, hyperdetailed works of #GeofDarrow (The Matrix, Shaolin Cowboy, Hard Boiled) but I've just discovered he's American (living in France. #NCBD haul The Tara McPherson cover sold me on this #JoanJetandtheBlackhearts flip book, I think all the stories are based on JJ & the Blackhearts songs adapted by female creators, and man it looks great!
