Finally watched #GetCarter (2000) remake in spite of #Stallone, partly because #MichaelCaine is also in it.
Expected they'd screw the ending, which is one of the best aspects of the original, and they did 🤦♂️ because Hollywood shits sugar out of their arses. Michael said that I think.

Despite some awful casting, and I don't just mean Sly, it's a watchable #movie. Nice and unexpected Drum n Bass, but some really poor direction of key scenes compared to the original.

My son and I were admiring the music from “The Rest Of Us” game this morning. Great opportunity to play Roy Budd’s main theme from “Get Carter” for him, which has a similar vibe. He liked it! I tell you what, I’ll make that boy a Portishead fan yet!! Baby steps…..
Interestingly, Amazon Music’s “Get Carter” theme doesn’t have the train noises on it!

Looking north from Blackhall Rocks on the Durham Heritage Coast to where the final scenes of 'Get Carter', starring Michael Caine and Ian Henry, were shot.
There are some amazing sea caves nearby, after which, the rocky coast gives way to wide sandy beaches heading south, past Crimdon Dene, to Hartelpool Headland.

The theme tune to #GetCarter is a sort of frozen tundra funk that sounds the chimes of doom.
