Took a 2h course on #terraform and it's language, #HCL. I found it interesting. It's used to deploy cloud environments with any cloud providers like Amazon or Google cloud. Apparently you can also use it for self host but i don't know how at the moment. HCL is a simple declarative language. The complexity is not much about the language but how to work with in an efficient and safe manner. I have many #zwave and #mysensors devices and a bit of custom code (e.g. human centric lighting, #hcl) in my ~4000 LOC fhem.cfg. I'm using fhem since several (maybe 10) years and still struggling with its configuration (as linux graybeard and soft/firmware developer), so I'm considering a change...
