#HawthornShieldBug

A #HawthornShieldBug (possibly) for #InsektenSamstag. Spotted this little show-off on the summit cairn (!) of #YrWyddfa/#Snowdon, where it nearly got trampled. 🤨
(Also, the sun was so bright so I didn't realize the focus is a bit off, sorry 🫣)

This image shows a close-up of a green shield bug, also known as a stink bug, resting on a rough, light-coloured stone surface. The bug has a vibrant green back with some reddish-brown markings on its underside and legs. Its long, thin antennae are visible, extending forward. The shadow of the bug is clearly cast on the stone, indicating bright lighting. In the background, there is a small dead fly, adding to the natural outdoor setting. The texture of the stone surface is detailed, with various indentations.
