Moonrise, Garron Point, Stonehaven - quickly grabbed while the light was good with only a few percent battery remaining in the drone.

Inside the Core

If I've got my sums right, the blue rocks are mostly Dalradian metasedimetary stuff, the brighter yellow is carbonated serpentinite marking the line of the HBF.

Moonrise, Garron Point, Stonehaven

Lovely blue/purple/pink colours of dusk as the full moon rises near Garron Point - the Highland Boundary Fault forms the left wall of the headland.

Inside the Core

Looks like a jumble of rocks. It is a jumble of rocks. There used to be an ocean here - the Iapetus ocean - before Laurentia went and collided with Avalonia. The blue rocks are Dalradian metasedimentary; the yellow is carbonated serpentinite, indicating the line of the Highland Boundary Fault.
