I was today years old when I learned about #Homosaurus (https://homosaurus.org/v4) and #Gender #Sexuality and #Sexual Orientation Ontology (https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ols4/ontologies/gsso), 2 resources for librarians cataloging/describing #LGBTQ books and other materials. Since I order books on these topics, these lists are very helpful!

Can authors get appropriate metadata to go with their book? How/where? Can people crowd source metadata for books, and would it be "valid".
I'm just a stunted (in present job) library assistant. I loved metadata in college, I miss catalogs with subject headings, and I loathe poorly labeled
/ cataloged books.
