“The controversy around the “AI actor” Tilly Norwood continues to grow, after the #actors’ union Sag-Aftra condemned the development and said Norwood’s creators were “using #stolen #performances”.

Sag-Aftra released a statement after the AI “talent studio” Xicoia unveiled its creation at the #ZurichFilmFestival, prompting an immediate backlash from actors including Melissa Barrera, Mara Wilson and Ralph Ineson. Sag-Aftra said it believed creativity was, “and should remain, #HumanCentred. The #Union is opposed to the replacement of human #performers by synthetics.”

The “tell” is in the eyes (iris) and wispy hair.

In #UX design, #clarity and #consistency are essential. If the labelling does not match the user’s mental model, you are forcing people to think harder than necessary.

Good to see progress in #DigitalPathology and #AI and to engage with colleagues at the panel discussion.

The question was "are we there yet?" - progress is being made, but for me there's still some work to do around how we best scale up the technology across the NHS and how we ensure it's deployed/integrated sustainably
