I stayed home from work today, just not being able to think or motivate. After sleeping this afternoon and avoiding the internet, I woke to see the White House starting to bend under pressure and statements that federal agents will start to draw down in #Minnesota. I feel like I can at least breath again.

But this needs to break the #Trump administration and the #GOP. We will not stop. We will vote. Investigate, prosecute, convict, impeach!

The articles goes on to describe DHS's claim that "a man with a handgun [presumably Alex Pretti] approached them," but a bystander video shows a phone, no gun.

I have lived and worked in various cities including Minneapolis/St. Paul, Pittsburgh and Chicago. And New York.
My grandparents were from Auburn/Lewiston, Maine.
I’ve visited them recently.
These are kind, safe cities with kind citizens and low crime rates. They don’t deserve this military attack by ICE Gestapo.
What ICE are doing there IS criminal.
Meanwhile, 3 of the top 6 cities with high undocumented immigrant populations are in Texas and Florida… and have higher crime rates by the cities occupyied by ICE. But ICE avoids red states. They are an occupying force that will be in place when blue states try to vote.
ICE should not be in ANY states.

Watching the entire JD Vance press conference. This whole "aw shucks, just step aside and let these good ol' boys do their job" is incredible gaslighting. It's like when Andy Dufresne in The Shawshank Redemption asks the warden, "How can you be so obtuse? Is it deliberate?"

This performance is not intended to "turn down the heat" in Minnesota. People here know what is going on and that Vance is talking out of his ass. This is to try and convince people outside of Minnesota to not resist in the same way by sounding "reasonable" in the face of angry accusations.
