#RankedChoiceVoting #WashingtonDC #ElectoralReform #Initiative83

Washington, D.C. Initiative 83 creates a semi-open primary system, allowing voters who are not affiliated with a political party to vote in a primary election and establishes ranked-choice voting for elections in D.C,, starting in 2026.

It is not surprising that Opportunity DC's email to voters promotes Brooke Pinto and Wendell Felder but mentions no other council candidates. What's slightly surprising is that it explicitly takes no position on , which I'd have expected the group to oppose. It lists pluses and minuses for ranked choice voting, but only pluses for semi-open primaries. .
