Malty with a nice balance of sweet, toffee, vanilla, and subtle oak whisky cask finish. A delightful intro to local cask ales.
It’s gonna be all beers on this trip ya know? Maybe a castle or two later.
Light stuff with lunch, Menabrea lager (Italy) is all malty biscuit notes, very refreshing.
Sampled an Innis & Gunn lager, which had a yeasty background and hoppy body.

The aroma is thick with alcohol, and it almost leans into a more wine or possibly a barley wine aroma. It smells pretty good.
