Another silly clown character picture from our photo archives to celebrate #InternationalClownWeek

This is Cecil St. Barbara, who I created to host a Shakespeare-themed variety show. He spent the evening sipping "wine" out of a glass skull until he hallucinated faeries, mocking the over-importance of Shakespeare, and generally proving I am a close runner up to Dick Van Dyke for worst Brit-ish accent in a character performance.

The photo I've selected for the final day of #InternationalClownWeek is likely the most difficult one for me to share.

This was taken at a festival, just before the pandemic was declared, and the life we knew was absolutely blown apart.

We shut everything down and hid in our little #clown bunker. Despite this, a couple of years later I caught covid and ended up in the hospital.

That was two years ago today.

I'm still battling #LongCovid.

And I still hope to see those clowns again.

It's day six of #InternationalClownWeek, and I'm pulling random images from our performing company's archive to share and celebrate.

In the episode of the #2ClownsInACloset #podcast I'm currently editing, I tell a story about working with an incredible juggler called Alan.

Here he is on my left as we do a bit of street performing.

Day five of #InternationalClownWeek, and I'm still digging around in our archives for fun images to share.

Here's another one from Salmagundi, circa 2015.

During our Halloween theme show, the #clown found a terrific improvised moment while delivering hula hoops to the stage.

The collision of day four of #InternationalClownWeek and the ending of round one of the #CluckMe crocheted chicken name-off was unplanned, however our performing company's photo archives did provide the perfect image.

This was from early in the run of Salmagundi, a monthly dinner theater show we performed in an old historic theater. A new show every month means we were working constantly, and it's during that blur that I really learned how to bolt together a show.

It's day two of International Clown Week!

I'm pulling fun photos from our performing company's archive all week to celebrate.

This is Foley, in her hot air balloon. I helped build this giant prop/costume around 2015.

What you can't see in the cropped image is that the performer is on three foot dancing stilts. With a pair of dark pants below the basket, the illusion on stage was spectacular and silly.
