The final result of Ohio Issue 1 continues the trend of urban areas leaning more progressive and rural areas leaning more conservative. Looking at the map I can easily imagine conservative provocateurs and grifters saying "Only a few counties voted No! There must be massive fraud in these big cities!", while knowing they are lying to their audience. MAGA supporters will nod and fume right along with them because they will agree with anything that fits what they want to hear.

A reminder to all: Land doesn't vote — people do.

I'm proud of Ohio for the first time in a long time.

The group Protect Women Ohio just started airing an ad that says #issueone on Aug. 8 "put[s] trans ideology in classrooms and encourages sex changes for kids." It's actually about giving a minority veto on the #abortionrights Constitutional amendment in November, but they know they're on the wrong side of that. So they gin up hate against a marginalized group instead. #trans #politics #ohpol
