"We Need a Little Christmas" is a very popular #ChristmasSong originating from #JerryHerman's Broadway musical #Mame, and first performed by #AngelaLansbury in that 1966 production. In the musical, the song is performed after Mame has lost her fortune in the #WallStreetCrashOf1929, and decides that she, her young nephew Patrick, and her two household servants "need a little Christmas now" to cheer them up.

Finding Your Pride | âLa Cage Aux Follesâ @ Pasadena Playhouse https://cahighways.org/wordpress/?p=17056
Last night, we saw La Cage Aux Folles at the Pasadena Playhouse. A non-traditional take on the show: seedy low rent nightclub; the son was differently-abled. But it worked. The show was hilarious; the music (as always) was wonderful, and the message of the show is just as relevant today as it was in 1984 when we first saw it. Go see it if you can.
