Инструмент py2many позволяет превращать Python-код в код на других языках, таких как Rust.

I have seen in the fediverse for a week or so now, I recently moved to #hachyderm so I guess an #introduction is in order.
I am a Software Engineer working as a Data Engineer now, live in the U.K. and I study when I can. I really don't have a programming language that I call favourite but I have been doing #python the longest. For my career I have been employed for my #scalalang and #kotlinlang. I am currently learning #rustlang and so far I'm not disappointed.

Which sources do you guys suggest to learn kotlin , I don't have any experience with java what so ever but really want to learn kotlin.

#kotlinlang feels like it's a "everything including the kitchen sink" kind of language. What feature did they forget to leave out?
@dyske Yeah, I agree, one mitigation could be to package your PWA for the App Store as well. Maybe enhance it a bit with #Flutter but I certainly would not spend a significant amount of resources today building a native #swiftlang / #kotlinlang app, only to have it yanked as someone I can't even interact with sees fit.
That doesn't solve it all as the #Spotify case shows; once you're on the AppStore you face severe restrictions even if the app is not your primary means of business.
Just one thing to add; there are vendors that are sort of in the middle, I'd not consider #JetBrains to be particularly unethical, since they do publish their 'crown jewel', (IDEA), as FLOSS and basically just use the documented plugin architecture to sell proprietary plugins. They also develop #kotlinlang completely in the open & sponsor many FLOSS IntelliJ plugins, like the one for #rustlang
In addition they sponsor * organize FLOSS conferences & even offer all SW for free to FLOSS devs.
#kotlinlang is probably a decent language, but the build configuration around gradle tooling is horrendous and extremely painful. I have spent hours just trying to get a simple gradle build going. Problems like `Could not determine Java version using executable /usr/lib/jvm/java-10-openjdk/bin/java` shouldn't be a thing in 2018, really you can't tell the version from the correct executable? Everybody should learn from tools like Bundler and #rustlang's #cargo for how build tooling should be done
